This project marks the 60th anniversary of the death of Albert Einstein and is
located at Windscale, now re-named Sellafield, birthplace of the nuclear
industry in the United Kingdom. A new generation of nuclear power stations
are currently planned providing an impetus to address this country’s own
history in the atomic age and the architectural qualities of these enormous
structures.
